Turbo Glasses

Smart glasses that record real video — with real voice — straight to a micro SD card.

Most "bodycam" scripts take screenshots and flip through them. This one draws the game view into a canvas and encodes an actual .webm file with audio. It plays back like a video, because it is one.

Recording

Real video. Encoded to video/webm in the NUI. Scrubbing, seeking and playback speed all work natively.
No external render resource. The game image is drawn with WebGL inside the script itself.
Your voice is recorded. Not simulated — your actual microphone.
Nearby players' voices too. Relayed over WebRTC, the same approach lb-phone uses.
A subtitle layer on top. Who spoke, when, and from how many metres away, plus proximity chat / me / do. Plays back as subtitles and a waveform, so a clip is usable as evidence even without audio.
First person, automatically. The game's own FPS camera is forced while recording, so hands, weapons, the steering wheel and the vehicle interior all end up in frame. The player's previous camera comes back when it stops.
Photo mode with a shutter, saved to the same card.

The micro SD card is the point

Recordings belong to the card, not to the player. Every card gets its own serial number.

Hand a card to someone and every clip on it goes with them. Steal it, plant it, sell it, hand it to the police — the roleplay writes itself. Cards have a capacity in seconds, can be formatted, and starred clips survive automatic cleanup.

Turbo Pad — a full tablet OS

Not a menu. A device.

Boot animation, setup wizard, passcode lock screen, home screen with a dock, control center with brightness / volume / transparency sliders, five wallpapers and six accent colours.

The small stuff that makes it feel real

TV playback

Insert the micro SD into any TV prop through ox_target or qb-target and the clip plays on the screen itself — drawn straight into the game's render target, not a floating overlay.

Everyone in the room watches the same position in sync. Audio fades with distance. The person who inserted the card gets a remote: play, pause, skip 10s, volume, eject.

15 TV and cinema props supported out of the box, and adding your own is one config line.

Police & evidence

Configured jobs (and anyone with the ACE permission) can read any card by serial. /tgforensic <SERIAL> lists every recording on it from the server console.

Built to actually run on a busy server

QB-Core, QBX, ESX, standalone — auto detected, no setup
ox_inventory, qb-inventory, qs-inventory or your framework's own
Adaptive quality — measures each player's FPS on join and picks 480p / 640p / 720p. If the game starts stuttering mid recording, the capture rate drops automatically
0.00ms at idle. No permanent polling loops — the input and key watchers only exist while a UI is actually open
Media never touches your server's network events. Players upload straight to the destination; the server only says where
Your API key never reaches the client. The server fetches presigned URLs and hands out those
Storage cleans itself. Old clips expire, and the remote files get deleted with them instead of piling up on your bill

English & Turkish

Both languages ship complete — 226 strings, notifications and interface. Players pick their own tablet language in the setup wizard.

Everything lives in one open file (html/lang.js) plus the config. Copy the English block, rename it, translate it, done. No protected code to touch.

Free phone apps included

Two optional add-on resources put the whole gallery inside a phone:

lb-phone custom app
cylex_phone custom app

Both fully open source — no escrow, edit them however you like. Neither has a server side, so your main script stays untouched.

Requirements

screenshot-basic — ships with the default FiveM server data
Video recording needs nothing else
The glasses model is streamed by the resource. Nobody touches their GTA files

Good to know before you buy

Nearby voice needs a TURN server for players behind strict NAT. A STUN-only setup works for most, but if you want it reliable for everyone, point the config at your own coturn — takes two commands and there's a copy-paste example in the config.
Clips stored with the self-host method can't be streamed to a TV or attached to a message. They live as data on your server. Use Fivemanage or another link-based method if you want those features.
Escrow protected, with config.lua and the language file left fully open.
